Darren M. Gottesmann serves as director of sales for Ingram Micro’s U.S. SMB business unit. As that team’s leader, he oversees the vision and strategy for the SMB group, which serves 20,000-plus Ingram Micro channel partners, with a focus on better aligning them with the right Ingram Micro resources and business units to fuel steady, profitable growth.
Since joining Ingram Micro 13 years ago, Darren has served in sales roles from business development manager to account executive. He has been recognized for his internal contributions with the Ingram Micro MVP award, was a recent recipient of VMware’s Executive Trailblazer Award, and annually presents at CMD University.
Prior to Ingram Micro, Darren worked at Computer Associates (CA), serving in several roles before joining the global strategic account team. While at CA, he spent time in both direct and channel sales, and represented a variety of technologies including storage, security, databases, and networking.
With a business management degree and marketing concentration from Ithaca College, more than 20 years of IT experience, and a passion to create innovative programs, Darren excels at inspiring sales teams to challenge the status quo and develop cutting-edge, go-to market strategies for Ingram Micro and its partners.
