John Port is a cybersecurity expert with experience in investigations, detection engineering, and leading security operations center (SOC) teams. As the manager of Barracuda XDR's SOC Team, John has a unique view into the cybersecurity industry as he oversees initiatives including threat hunting, detection engineering, and the engineering of the Barracuda XDR platform, focused on automated remediation. As the principal engineer, John continues to advocate for meaningful security innovation. John received his bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, and Computer Science from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
