John Bernard is the Senior Principal of Travel and Transport at IDEMIA I&S North America. Prior to joining IDEMIA, John served as the strategy and business development leader for L3Harris Technologies aviation information management business, serving customers in both the US and international markets. John also built and led L3Harris Advanced Concepts Engineer team within their civil aviation sector, driving engagement with customers to identify and incorporate emerging technologies within solution offerings. Previously John has worked with other technology forward organizations including MITRE Corporation and Northrop Grumman. John has routinely served in advisory roles in industry panels and workgroups, including time as a technical advisor to both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) on International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) panels and working groups, subject matter expert to the FAA via RTCA sub-committees, and participation in the Airlines 4 America sponsored FAA-Airline Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) working groups. John has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
