David Hutchinson is the vice president of vertical market solutions for global IT distributor Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Avnet’s vertical market segments, including healthcare, government, retail, energy/utilities, and financial services. He and his team help solution providers accelerate their business through vertical market industry specialization. Hutchinson has more than 25 years of experience in solutions selling, marketing, and channel development, and direct experience with all aspects of the technology supply chain, as well as a working knowledge of solutions from major technology manufacturers such as IBM, HP, Cisco, Oracle, NetApp, and EMC. Before assuming his current position, he had various executive-level roles in marketing, sales, product management, and technical support at Avnet.
