Brian J. Weiss, based in Atascadero and the Greater San Luis Obispo Area of California, began his tech journey in 1996 during high school. After gaining experience at a local computer store and studying computer and network services with a sound engineering minor, he transitioned from academics to entrepreneurship. In 2005, he founded ITECH Solutions after starting as an independent contractor.
Alongside his technical pursuits, Brian worked in radio as a DJ and sound engineer, hosting shows and community events while refining audio production skills at Cuesta College. Over the next decade, he ran his IT firm using Microsoft technologies and custom-built tools.
In 2016, during a growth phase in his web development department, Brian entered the MSP channel. He quickly identified security and compliance gaps in widely used tools and contributed to advisory boards to improve them. His focus shifted in 2023 when he decided to move from a PSA to an ERP system, recognizing that fragmented systems with technical debt would limit AI’s effectiveness in IT firms.
Now, as an aspiring Microsoft MVP, Brian is building a Dynamics 365 ERP system tailored to IT Service Providers and enterprise IT teams, embedding AI to future-proof operations. Known as “The Tech Stoic,” he promotes clarity and resilience in tech and is launching a podcast to share stoic principles for navigating the industry's challenges.
