Garry Harper is director of sales, AIDC/POS, for SYNNEX Corp. He has spent 32 years selling and supporting technology across the channel for manufacturers, distributors, and resellers. Harper is responsible for sales, product management, and business development, supporting more than 40 vendors covering data collection, printing, and retail POS. Harper also is responsible for U.S. sales for SYNNEX’s newly acquired company, VisionMAX, an IT solutions provider with a cloud-based POS solution. Prior to SYNNEX Corp., Harper was employed by Agilysys, ScanSource, and IBM, and watched the channel grow from a world primarily dependent on large mainframes to one with smartphones, tablets, and handheld computers. His experience in the channel has stretched across sales and marketing, product management, and technical support.
